Actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran took to social media on Tuesday to mark the birthday of veteran actor Mohanlal by revealing the first-look poster of their forthcoming film, L2: Empuraan.
The unveiled poster showcases Mohanlal emanating suave charm in a sleek all-black ensemble, accentuated by a pair of black sunglasses. Alongside the captivating image, Prithviraj extended his birthday wishes, addressing Mohanlal affectionately as “Laletta.”
Empuraan stands as the sequel to the widely acclaimed Lucifer, with Prithviraj Sukumaran at the helm once again. Mohanlal resumes his role as the enigmatic Khureshi Abraam, also known as Stephen Nedumpally, in this highly anticipated sequel.
Backed by Lyca Productions, Empuraan is set to captivate audiences across various linguistic regions, with releases planned in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Steering the creative direction of the film is Nirmal Sahadev, ensuring a promising cinematic experience.
While Mohanlal was last witnessed on the silver screen in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Malaikottai Vaaliban, which graced theaters in January, Prithviraj’s recent cinematic endeavor was Vipin Das’s Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, which premiered just last week, showcasing their diverse and prolific talents in the Indian film industry.
